My wife and I along with our 11 year old daughter were starting to feel cramped in our two bedroom apartment and I decided to start looking for a three bedroom unit. The third room would be used for the things that we were using only once a month, as well as things that we only used on holidays. After experience some sticker shock, I realized this might not be cost effective. It was then that I started to look at storage in Brooklyn NY and was amazed at what was available, as well as the prices they were charging.
Everything I needed to store our extra items would easily fit into a 10 by 10 foot space, and cost much less than the extra money for a three bedroom apartment. I could have saved even more money with a five by ten foot storage, but with more storage space, I am able to walk inside and get to the stuff I use most often.
